Cartoons, Beltane, and Kittens
So this week I’m going to give you some updates on what has been happening in my life. Ok I know it’s been well over a week since the last time I posted on my blog, but hey I’m getting to it now.
First off, my cat Loki had kittens; five of them. Right now I’m trying to get people I know to take them off my hands when they become old enough. My younger sister wants one, but I don’t know if that will work out with her current housing situation.
The kittens are sill quite young, and do not yet leave the box that they were born in. Though I don’t plan on keeping any of them I’ll likely give them all names, but I would like to see there personalities develop before I name any of them. Though my sister wants to name the kitten she wants to take King Benjamin or Benny for short.
This past weekend I went to a Beltane celebration up in Salt Lake City . Beltane commonly called May Day throughout the United States , marks the anciently recognized beginning of summer, and celebrates renewed fertility in the earth.
I recently found out that one of my old favorite cartoon characters was supposed to be gay. Something reminded me about the show called Gargoyles, and so I looked it up on the internet. I found it on Youtube and I’ve been watching it. Anyhow I looked at Wikipedia this article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manhattan_Clan. Well as it turns out Lexington who had been my favorite character on the show was gay, or rather the shows creator had intended him to be, but when he tried to hint at it in the show those episodes would not make it on the air. There is now a comic book and the creator hopes to bring it to light in that run of the story. Well needless to say that news gave me a bit of a grin.
Until next time,
